getting ready with a toddlerBREAK IT DOWN

Sometimes the key is to accept that those days of taking your sweet time picking through five outfits, spending 45+ min on your hair, and trying out different makeup looks are over.  But that doesn’t mean those areas have to be completely done away with.

TIP 1. Whatever you can do with your little ones around…DO THEM.
Example: Kylie loves putting on blush and lipstick, and putting mousse in her hair.

TIP 2. Pick out your outfit the night before. I know this is something typically done for kids…but there’s logic in it.  I feel so much more productive when I get out of my sweats, and unless I do it first thing it won’t get done, and first thing in the morning usually consist of two little needy kiddos 🙂

TIP 3. DISTRACTIONS- distractions are good.  Use activities, or food, a show etc for those brief moments that you NEED to be alone and can’t do them with a little one around.  Or there is also NO shame in locking yourself in the bathroom to straighten your hair 🙂
