Pregnant! Baby #4
How much new info can fit in one photo???
Yes I’m pregnant, YES I have glasses, and YES I’m blonde 🤪
This pregnancy is primarily why I’ve been MIA…I say primarily because this in fact has been a year full of major growth and many big and small changes for all of us! 💕
To kick things off, I thought I’d answer some questions I’ve been getting a lot from friends and family and followers alike, about this pregnancy and life updates.
Pregnancy + Life Updates Questions Answered
⭐️ How far in the pregnancy are you?
23 weeks, pregnant, so just over halfway! That translates to close to 5 months, or my due date is beginning January, whatever is easiest for your brain…this (whole months, weeks, trimester, due date stuff desperately needs to be simplified!)
⭐️ Do you know what you’re HAVING?!
Yes, a BOY! 👦🏻
⭐️ Have any baby names picked out?
We’re bouncing between 3, but we’re keeping it a surprise. Mainly because we’re not 100% sure which we like…so in actuality I suppose “no” we don’t have a name lol
⭐️ You doing another home birth?
Most definitely! For me there is no other way that better fits my comforts and preferances. I know home birth is not for everyone, but it works for us…and we always have a back up plan for the hospital if need be.
⭐️ Are you sick this pregnancy?
ALWAYS! But surprisingly, this has been the least intense out of all my pregnancies. Normally I’d still be bed ridden and vomiting 5+ times/day at for another month still. But this go around I stopped throwing up almost 2 months ago…I still have a bit of nausea here and there, but it’s manageable.
⭐️ What’s the weirdest thing so far this pregnancy?
So I’ve been UBER sensitive to pressure from my clothes on my whole body 😳 It’s really weird. I mean I’ve had a bit of that for each baby, but this time it was like MAJOR from day one. I’d throw up more, I’d be more prone to losing feeling in my limbs, I just feel overall clausterphobic if I even wear a bra!
My normal underwear was a no go very quickly (my belly popping early didn’t help). But thankfully Calvin Klein sent me these soft undies and they have been a lifesaver for those days I’m extra sensitive. (I like THIS bra and THIS pantie, I got a medium for referance | when not prego I do a small)
Her face! 😅 The baby moved while her hands were on my belly
Life Updates
🌸 I’m homeschooling both my girls this year! (you can check out some of my homschool resources in THIS post)
Actually Kylie is taking a photography class, and she took ALL of these photos
We tried putting Kylie in a great charter school (a Waldorf one) last year, but it just wasn’t for her….or me…for a variety of reasons. So for this season in our lives, homeschool is the best fit for all of us. She’s now in 3rd and Harley Kindergarten. ⭐️
🌸 Daniel recently got a promotion
I can’t even begin to talk about how proud I am of him. He works so hard, he’s so good at what he does. And we’ve worked and made sacrifices together through our marriage to get where we are. And it only keeps going up.
So he’ll be in the office tons more now (eek…send prayers my way 🙏🏼)
🌸 I have glasses!
So I’ve actually had a need for glasses since I was 15…buuuut I hated the way they looked on me. So I just didn’t wear them.🙄 (I know, BAD Joi) And I’ve worn contacts off and on for the last 12 years or so. But during pregnancy, since I’m constantly taking multiple power naps throughout the day I don’t ever wear my contacts because once I close my eyes they glue themselves to my EYES! No joke, it takes me 20 min to get them back out sometimes. But like so many things in pregnancy, my vision was struggling. I couldn’t read or look at any screen for longs before getting bad headaches. So I figured it was a good time to get some glasses. And they make so many cute ones now. 🙌🏽
***Thank you to Calvin Klein for sponsoring this post 🙏🏼💕
