2 furry pups and 3 kids | Needless to say our house is busy!
Tucker is up front, Misa in back
First meetings 💕
I figured an update on our English cream puppies was due. Especially since I haven’t been posting my usual hikes and yoga sessions I do with Misa. (HERE)
Besides, I know some of y’all are only here for the dogs anyway 🤪 Some people just like dogs more than people lol.
>>>UPDATES<<<
🐶 If you’re new here, back in March we added another English Cream fur baby to our family, his name is Tucker. And he and Misa are the best of friends
🐶 Misa is our female and she’s now 2
🐶 Tucker is male and just over 8 months. They are the same height but Tucker still has 10 months of growing left. EEEK!

>>>FAQs<<<
🐶 Do you plan on breeding? Nope. We looked into with Misa, but waaaay too much work, especially to do it well.
🐶 What breeds are they, are they different? They are the same breed, English Cream Retrievers ( seriously the BEST family dogs in existence!) It just takes a year for their fur to fully come in, so Tucker looks more like a lab at the moment.
🐶 You say you got them from the same breeder…are they siblings!? No, they are not. But they are from the same breeder, so we call them cousins 😉
🐶 How do you keep a handle on all the shedding!? 😳
People hear “Retriever” and instantly the fur comes to mind haha. I’ve had both short and thick fur dogs, and honestly, the short fur was more obnoxious than the thick fur. We keep lint rollers around the house. They also aren’t allowed on the main furniture often. Our robot vacuum helps a ton, and the fact that their fur is white makes it blend into any surface so it doesn’t feel as overwhelming. Also, from the fall months until early spring, they really don’t shed much at all!
🐶 Do you plan to do the same training with Tucker as you did with Misa? And how’s he taking to it? Abso-freaking-lutely! We started him on it day one. He’s taken to it very quickly. He was walking beside us without a leash at 12 weeks. He never runs away (and if he does, stops immediately when told “no”), he’s crate trained, house trained, stays and won’t budge unless we say so, almost 100% remote trained…. Of course there are a few nuances here and there that need fine tuning, and now Summer is over I have time to be more hands on with him.
💕 Those are all the frequent ?s I get. If you have any others, feel free to drop a comment and I’ll be happy to answer! 💕
