Benefits of lemon water in the morning

I’m cutting to the chase, and sharing with you WHY it would be beneficial to start adding a sprtiz of citrus to your water, or go for a fresh squeezed citrus beverage all together.

Now currently there is no solid research specifically on lemon/citrus water and its health benefits, there are however supported claims on the two seperateley.

But here is what I have to say, and what I’ve found to be true for me and that might just benefit you in the same way.

Lemon/Lime is a natural cleansing agent (this is not new knowledge).  When water has that little dose of calories your body more strongly forced to filter through and the H2O, thus more effectively hydrating your body, while simultaneously cleansing from the lemon or lime.

*I find myself feeling more energized the mornings I remeber to drink lemon water in the morning.  My skin always stays cleared up, even when that time of the month hits if I’ve been consistently drinking the week leading up.

 

 

 

Although there is no extensive research in reguards to lemon water in the morning.  The Cleveland clinic has claimed that lemon water does provide these following healthy benefits 😉 

  • Helps digestion
  • keeps you hydrated
  • aids in weight loss
  • prvents oxidation
  • vitamin c boost
  • potassium boost
  • Helps prevent kidney stones

Orange juice (fresh not that sugar loaded stuff in cartons) is packed with vitamin c, potatssium and other nutrients.  Liquids obsorb faster than solids, so starting your day with a fresh glass of OJ on an empty stomach really jumpstarts your metabolism and immune system.

*Tips: Add some cucumber and mint to your citrus water and really brings the flavor home!
Add a little ceyenne to your OJ for some extra immune support.
