This summer is our summer of saying “yes”
We’re saying yes to more afternoons by the pool, yes to bbq dinners, yes to invites, yes to drives to the beach, yes to more movies…pretty much anything that encourages us to spend more time as a family, and just soaking in every moment.
These words form a Darius Tucker song have been my theme this summer.
“It won’t be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna’ be
all grown up and gone
yeah this phase is gonna’ fly by
so he’s [she’s] trying to hold on
’cause it won’t be like this for long”
Every time they bring me to tears I swear! But how real they are. How often to we let the “To – Do’ lists of life drag us away from BEING with our little ones? I know for me it happens a lot, so I’ve been working by butt off to stay focused and prioritize, and to just BE in the moment, and ENJOY the moments.
PEACH!!! hahaha. It’s sorta become a ‘must do thing’ to take this back to the camera pose anytime I’m at a beach. Been going on since 2010
Nothing makes my heart happier than watching how these two are growing so close, and how well they play (and sometimes NOT play) and interact together. Kylie really has taken on the ‘big sister’ role, and Harley is the little mischief maker, but the ONLY one allowed to give Kylie a hard time (after-all she does have a teensy bit of Italian blood in here). She definitely looks out for and looks up to her big sis.
