There’s just something about Fall that puts me in blanket, hot cup of something and candle mode, am I the only one? Usually to go along with these things my activity of choice is a classic movie, but I thought it might be better for my health to switch off Netflix and opt for something a little more brain stimulating. The weather is chill and crisp outside so curling up with a blanket and a hot cup of something, then add a book sounds glorious! It will be even better this year because we’re currently living in a cozy little cottage out in the country (but not far at all from civilization…otherwise I would be losing my mind), all I’m missing is a wood burning fireplace 🙁 so the candles will have to do for now.
While prepping for this glorious reading season, I realized that it’s been ages since I’ve read a new (new to me at least) book. So I thought of some books I’ve been wanting to try out, contacted my friends, asked my husband, the internet and my mother and sister in law if they had any good recommendations. I think I came up with a pretty good list full of variety. I’m most likely not going to come close to reading all of these, but it’s a good list to pick and choose from, and hopefully ya’ll can find something new to entice you to turn off Netflix as well.
FALL READING LIST
Book of Mormon (seriously if you like history, adventure, battles, civilizations fighting against evil bands, awesome miracles, all set in an ancient American setting-but also a book that makes you feel good, you will LOVE this. It’s very similar to Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings in many ways.)
