=====>>> Okay, so I wouldn’t necessarily call this a “beach” but it has sand and water, and that’s pretty much all we wanted for Kylie. During the 4th of July weekend we decided to take an impromptu BEACH DAY. It was so much fun. Kylie absolutely LOOOOVED the sand, was completely content and with putting it in and out of her bucket for hours. I ddin’t get in the water because…well it looked pretty nasty lol, but Daniel did, and Kylie was perfectly fine with only wetting her feet…I was fine with that too. We picked a beach/park only 40 min from our home, we were going to go to one a little further that was a little more ocean like, but an alligator was seen in the water (and caught fortunately) just two weeks before! Soooo yeah, that kinda decided that for us. And no, alligators are NOT common in the Texas ocean, but with all the flooding that’s been happening lately, gators have been showing up in random places.
If you live in the Houston area, here are some beaches that are pretty good, especially if you have kids.
Crystal Beach
Sylvan Beach
Kema
Surfside
Stewart Beach
