There are some things every mom needs
You know how there is always that one thing (or 100 things) that just make life as a mom easier? Well for me that is a good diaper bag, especially for travel. I’ve found that back pack ones are a must if you travel a lot, and although I wouldn’t say we travel as much as others do, we travel a decent amount…enough to make me want a backback diaper bag. I have a Petunia Pickle Bottom one which I also love, but since it’s made of sturdy, very durable material it makes it EXTREMELY heavy on my shoulder after 10 minutes of walking through the airport, or just on an outing in the park. So I like to use that one for errand running and stuff when I don’t have to be carrying it 90% of the time. For the rest of the time I love THIS Legacy bag by Ju-Ju-Be. It’s lightweight, but well made, has tons of space (you wouldn’t know just by looking at it) and it can be a shoulder or back back bag.
Find the loop holes
So let’s talk pricing…I’m usually one for finding the best deal and settling for the generic or knock offs. In short, I’ve tried using a less expensive diaper bag/back pack…they just don’t compare. I’ve tried, I’ve really tried. I’ve probably purchased and returned this bag like 5 times, but I always go back to it. However I found a way lesson the $ blow.
1. Wait until it goes on sale. Nordstrom always has a big sale in the Summer, and they price match things all the time. So I kept checking up on this bag until one day it was on sale!
2. Use points. If you have a Nordstrom credit or debit card your points will accumulate, and they will send you Nordstrom Notes (basically cash)
3. I had some money left on a gift card which was helpful.
Believe me this bag is sooo worth it IF you can afford it without breaking the bank, going into debt, or choosing it over food.
